Historic recognition of harm reduction principle at the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs
From 14 March 2024 to 22 March 2024 Switzerland participated in the 67th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs held in Vienna. As a member of the Commission for the 2022–2025 term, Switzerland played an active role. The session concluded by adopting a resolution focused on overdose prevention and management, marking a significant milestone as the Commission explicitly acknowledged the principle of harm reduction for the first time.
