FOPH: Enhanced infection control in retirement and nursing homes
The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the vulnerability to infections of retirement and nursing homes and highlighted the critical importance of preventing infections in such homes. Therefore, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), the Swiss Conference of the Cantonal Ministers of Public Health (CMPH), and CURAVIVA have launched a national action plan (2025 – 2029) to combat infections in retirement and nursing homes. The aim is to raise awareness and ensure the consistent implementation of preventive measures.
