Swissmedic: Possible Waiver of the Printed Package Leaflet for Certain Veterinary Medicinal Products
The guidance documents Product information for veterinary medicinal products and Packaging texts for veterinary medicinal products based on the Ordinance on the Authorisation of Medicinal Products (Arzneimittel-Zulassungsverordnung, AMZV) have been amended. Accordingly, since 1 January 2026, it is possible to dispense with the printed package leaflet for veterinary medicinal products that are used exclusively by veterinarians. However, this is subject to the condition that a QR code is affixed to the outer packaging, providing direct access to the package leaflet.
